Rural France softened by age — stone, linen and pale painted timber.

Where it comes from
Provençal farmhouses, where the palette was whatever the region produced.
French country is warm neutrals over honest structure: limestone, painted cabinetry, wrought iron and a lot of linen. A remodel gets there through cabinet profile and stone rather than through colour, which stays quiet throughout.
Lighting
Warm and low, from iron fixtures and lamps. Nothing bright, nothing cool.
What breaks it
- High-gloss paint
- Modern minimal shapes
- Heavy dark woods
- Cool white bulbs
Where to spend
Stone and cabinet profile. A limestone floor and a curved, painted cabinet run establish it before anything else.
