Where it comes from

Studio-era Los Angeles, where interiors were staged like sets.

Glam is about surfaces that return light: mirror, lacquer, polished stone, velvet with a sheen. It needs symmetry and scale to avoid looking cheap, so it works best in rooms with height and a clear focal wall.
