What it does
A home office now has two jobs: somewhere to work and somewhere to be seen working. This handles both — the desk and storage, and the wall behind the chair that everyone on the call is actually looking at.
How to use it
- 1Photograph the space including the wall behind where you would sit.
- 2Say whether it is a whole room or an alcove.
- 3Note where the window is; it decides which way the desk faces.

- Does it consider the camera background?
- Yes — the wall behind the chair is treated as part of the design.
- Will it face the desk at the window?
- No. A window behind the screen or behind the chair is the most common home-office mistake.
